CELEBRATING WOMEN

The 8th of March marks the International Women’s Day. Apart from taking pleasure in viewing the exhibitions on display a second edition of events has been lined up to celebrate womanhood. The fun filled day for the whole family opens on the 6th of March 2010 at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe. Cultural activities such as jazz music, hip hop dance, film screening and a fashion show are on the menu for our days of the month for March starting from 10:30am to 18:30pm.

Come and experience the importance of being a woman with performances from the likes of Kisses Band Mutare, Born Free, YOWLI, Hope Masike and Praise. The success of these shows is attributed to the contribution by international cultural centres such as the British Council, Canadian Embassy, Alliance Francaise, Spanish Embassy, US Embassy and Zimbabwe German Society.
