Name of Artist: Moffat Takadiwa

Ceramics

Moffat Tadikwa is one of Harare’s up and coming ceramist’s .He works intensively with clay and enjoys experimenting and overcoming the limitations the different types of clay and all its known weaknesses .

He is motivated by natural objects and finds the   ambiguity in them  is rousing . The current works on display focus on the texture and sculptural aspect of clay and offer the viewer a first hand look at some very well manipulated clay

Moffat was born at Tenge in Karoi of Shona   parentage.  He attended his secondary school at Mushowe Secondary School in Tengwe and then followed it on by going to Harare Polytech where he attained a diploma in Fine arts .Moffat
